The objective of this shared telecommunications network is to provide access toInternetofquality,more sustainable, highspeedand withlocal servicesin Pontils. In this way, all the residents of the municipality who wish can enjoyInternet servicesand alsotelephonythrough the operator Punt d'Accés.

Unlike conventional models, where the ownership of the network is in the hands of a single operator who deploys and exploits it at the same time, theGuifi·net shared network modelis an infrastructure that is used as a common good: it belongs to all those actors who have invested in it and who use it. utilitzen. Moreover, it is managed through a series of mechanisms that ensure and prevent anyone from appropriating it, as happens in the management of communal meadows or forests.

This model has advantages, such as:
