Operators, maintainers, and providers

Collaborators with a valid agreement who have activity at guifi.net

The guifi.net Foundation maintains collaboration agreements and contracts with different companies, professionals, and associations that act as network operators and service providers.

The operators and providers of guifi.net collaborate and cooperate to develop and maintain the Telecommunications Network as a Common Good, a public good open to all people. Likewise, on this infrastructure, they can conduct economic activities and share to offer users telecommunications services with different prices, characteristics, and service levels. The guifi.net Foundation does not provide telecommunications services to end users.

Individuals who are clients of these operators committed to the Common Good can be patrons of the Commons Network and have the right to enjoy the tax incentives outlined in Law 49/2002.

This Law establishes incentives aimed at new forms of societal participation in the protection, development, and stimulation of the general interest, thus becoming a norm that primarily encourages private collaboration in achieving general interest objectives, with attention and recognition to the increasingly greater presence of the private sector in the task of protecting and promoting actions characterized by the absence of profit motive, whose sole purpose is of a general and legal nature.

It is because the guifi.net network is a telecommunications infrastructure in the form of a Common Good and because the Law guarantees that it can enjoy the aforementioned advantages, in the form of tax incentives, that the operators committed to the Common Good dedicate part of what they earn monthly from users and clients to cover the services they have contracted, and on the other hand, as a donation for the development and maintenance of the Commons Network, being a simple, pure, and irrevocable donation in favor of the private Foundation for the Open, Free, and Neutral Network, guifi.net, which is responsible for ensuring that this purpose is fulfilled.

The invoice sent to a client and user will include this detail of the amount for the services and the amount of the donation.

  • If you wish for advice or information on how to take advantage of the aforementioned tax incentives, the operators and providers offering their services through guifi.net with an Agreement with the Foundation or if you have any doubts, contact us.

  • If you are an operator or provider that does not have a signed collaboration agreement and wish to offer services, we will inform you how to do so.
